Practice Behaviors:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Make ethical decisions applying the standards of the NASW Code of Ethics, relevant laws and regulations, models for ethical decision-making, ethical conduct of research and additional codes of ethics as appropriate to context.<\/p>\n 2. Use reflection and self-regulation to manage personal values and maintain professionalism in practice situations.<\/p>\n 3. Demonstrate professional demeanor in behavior, appearance, and oral, written, and electronic communication.<\/p>\n 4. Use technology ethically and appropriately to facilitate practice outcomes.<\/p>\n 5. Use supervision and consultation to guide professional judgement and behavior.<\/p>\n Evidence Based Learning:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. I demonstrated this practice behavior in practicum by using the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics when faced with ethical dilemmas. An example of this is a situation in which I had to complete a Child Protective\u00a0<\/a>Services\u00a0<\/a>(CPS) Report<\/a>. In the classroom I demonstrated this by visiting the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) headquarters and becoming informed about regulations as well as ethics and ethical dilemmas they deal with.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2. In order to fulfill the requirements for this practice behavior I kept a weekly journal\u00a0in which I reflected on my experiences during the that week. Here is an example of one of my\u00a0weekly journals.<\/a>\u00a0In the classroom I reflected on my weekly experiences with my classmates while maintaining confidentiality.<\/p>\n 3. I always conducted myself in a professional manner while at my practicum and while exchanging emails with my field instructor.\u00a0<\/span>In the classroom, I demonstrated this by always turning in professional work.<\/p>\n 4. I used technology to gather information on research-based interventions for my practicum. In the classroom I used technology to enhance my learning of the social work profession.<\/p>\n 5.
