The theoretical framework that influenced our understanding and conceptualization of the client’s case was Family Systems Theory. This theory takes family patterns into account when analyzing client behavior. Within our case conceptualization, we presented the client’s family history and how the precipitants, the client’s parent’s divorce and family’s history of anxiety, likely influenced his diagnosis of ADHD and Anxiety. This course has three 20-minute lessons, and was published on the Mpowered website under the landing page “The Mommy Café. The CEO will continue to grow and add courses to this page as services expand. For this course I created an outline and powerpoint, which we was used to record the lesson videos. I created follow-along worksheets and homework worksheets which participants will use to develop and practice the coping tools they learn within the course. All of these worksheets can be viewed here.

8.2 – Integrate macro level evidence-based strategies with organizations and/or communities

Course Evidence: During my Advanced Administrative class, my assigned group created a Program proposal plan to provide education and support for pregnant teens in highschool. The program, NEST, was created because teen pregnancy is still a concerning social issue that impacts many young people in the United States. Creating this proposal helped me to develop my program development and administrative skills, and attention to detail. In addition, my group developed a better understanding of the needs of this population, the difficulties they face, and the systems that are impacted. The NEST Program Proposal can be viewed here.

Field Evidence: Over the course of my 500 hour practicum with Mpowered, I created a free online course. The goal of this course was to provide a free and accessible therapy platform for any woman and mother who has access to the internet. This macro level project (affective level: characterization) used activities, tools, and research to teach moms how to process and understand intrusive thinking and negative beliefs. To make this project come to life, I wrote out lesson outlines for each of the three lessons, created corresponding powerpoint to be used as a visual aid throughout the course, used my professional speaking skills to present during the course video, and created follow-along worksheets to be used alongside the lesson videos. This course has provided Mpowered with the foundation to continue launching macro level interventions such as course videos. Furthermore, it has helped this for-profit reach more clients and individuals. As a result, this has helped Mpowered move closer towards it’s goal of educating and advocating on behalf of women’s and mom’s mental health.
