Field Evidence for Practice Behavior 8.1

Implement clinical evidence-based interventions with individuals, families, and/or groups

Using my social work knowledge of case management and resources, in the Household Management Assessments, we not only try and assist them in getting their apartment up to par for HUD inspections, but we try and assist them with any other underlying issues that could be affecting them taking proper care of their apartment because we value the dignity and worth of the person. In our Household Management Assessment, our team had many put into place many interventions with the resident that we were working with.  Some of our interventions used with this resident included intervening from her becoming evicted by sharing how she has been showing improvement for the issues that she was cited for, getting her items she needed for her apartment, setting her up with a food box for her food insecurity since she lost her food stamps briefly, and setting her up with the process of getting rental assistance to name a few things. I used the cognitive processes of evaluating, analyzing, and applying and the affective processes of responding and valuing. I used the theoretical framework of person in environment and trauma informed care.
