Engage Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ADEI) in Practice
Advocating for human rights, social, economic and environmental justice are an important aspect of who I am as an advanced generalist social worker. I am committed to leading in the advocacy of these important issues, engaging in anti-racism practice, as well as designing and implementing social action strategies in social work practice. I will professionally take action to demonstrate this by actively listening to the populations that I serve, showing empathy, and defending and ensuring cultural diversity. I will challenge injustice and inequality by regularly reviewing agency policies and raising awareness within my sphere of practice and social influence. I will demonstrate my professional commitment to this competency by continually educating myself and remaining actively involved in communities that experience racism and discrimination.
