DEMONSTRATE LEADERSHIP IN ADVOCATING FOR HUMAN RIGHTS, SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
This year, I have been able to demonstrate leadership in advocating for human rights, social, economic, and environmental justice while writing a story for the Southern Accent regarding accessibility, or lack thereof, on campus using a community systems framework. I was able to advocate for policies and ethical practice and make others aware of this ongoing problem on Southern’s campus. I was able to share the story of one particular student that has been encountering these issues, as well as talk to administration to find out what they plan to do about these social justice issues in the future. I used the cognitive processes of creating and analyzing, as well as the affective processes of responding and organization.
