Field Evidence for Practice Behavior 3.1

Demonstrate leadership in advocating for human rights, social, economic and environmental justice

I have demonstrated leadership in advocating for human rights, social, economic and environmental justice but participating in the Household Management Assessments. The HMA’s ensure quality living conditions for our residents, and help us to assess their current living situation, intervene so that they do not get evicted due poor housekeeping conditions, as well as enhancing their quality of living, because we care about the dignity and worth of the person.  During these assessments, we also provide case management as well as providing them with resources to not only assist in improving their living space, but to help them with any additional needs as well.  The theoretical framework used was the Empowerment Theory, showing the residents self-efficacy as well as conscientiousness so that they can change their environment and improve their lives.  In the HMA’s, I used the cognitive process of applying, as well as the affective processes of responding and valuing.
