Design and implement organizational and/or community assessments

As part of my advanced year practicum, I worked as part of a community assessment through the Chattanooga Housing Authority. Using the social work value of service, the resident engagement team went door to door in the Westside neighborhood to survey and assess the residents regarding their future plans once the Westside Evolves construction begins as well as after it is completed, in which I used the social work skills of community engagement and cultural competence and the social work knowledge I used was of community development.  I had to use the cognitive skills of applying and the affective processes of responding. The theoretical framework used was the community development theory.
