Course Evidence for Practice Behavior 8.1

Implement clinical evidence-based interventions with individuals, families, and/or groups

During my Advanced Clinical Practice: Group Psychotherapeutic Skills class, we practiced and recorded a video of ourselves using our choice of interventions in a group setting.  In our group practice video, I used my social work knowledge and skills in clinical evidence-based interventions and used a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy intervention (5:40) as well as a mindfulness exercise (22:10), since they are both effective interventions for individuals that have anxiety.  Below, is my group video where I use my skills and social work values of competence and empowerment to help these pseudo clients reframe their thoughts regarding panic attacks and using mindfulness to reduce their symptoms. I used several cognitive processes including creating, applying, and remembering, and the affective process of organization.
