During my practicum for my undergraduate degree in psychology, I had a vague idea of what my career calling was. In researching this idea, I learned how diverse that social work is, and I knew at that moment that social work was my life calling. God led me to the Master of Social Work program at Southern Adventist University immediately after, and I have known without a doubt that I have been on the correct path ever since.<\/p>\r\n

My main areas of interest are homelessness and housing insecurity, anti-racism and racial equality, as well as support for immigrants and refugees.\u00a0 My aim in social work is to work at a macro level at an organization where I can outreach and help many.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

I have been able incorporate my areas of interest and my goal of working in macro social work at my new job position with the Chattanooga Housing Authority as a Program Specialist.<\/p>\r\n
