In coming up with my framework, I have used the social work skills of ethical consideration and research. I also used consultation while discussing frameworks with my field instructor, to use in my practicum as well as a social worker in the future. One of the major tools that I use is the NASW Code of Ethics, which gives me a strong foundation for making ethical decisions in social work. I integrate NASW’s values, such as respect the inherent dignity and worth of the person, behave in a trustworthy manner, and respecting the choices of our clients, to make sure that I always keep ethical considerations in mind as I analyze complex situations and environments. Another helpful tool is Fredric Reamer’s ethical decision-making framework, which provides a step-by-step method for recognizing, evaluating, and dealing with ethical challenges in various scenarios. I blend these ethical frameworks with practices grounded in evidence, to ensure that any situation that I should encounter follows ethical principles while also using research and knowledge that are currently available. This approach helps me to improve the well-being of individuals and communities while maintaining the highest ethical standards. In developing my framework, I used the cognitive process of selecting and evaluating and the affective process of organization by choice..

NASW Code of Ethics: https://www.socialworkers.org/About/Ethics/Code-of-Ethics/Code-of-Ethics-English

Reamers Ethical Decisions Making Framework: Reamers Ethical Decision Making Framework.pdf (northwoodtech.edu)

Develop a practice framework for analysis of complex environments, that is ethical, value-grounded, and evidenced-based As an advanced social worker, it is important to have a practical framework for understanding complex situations while using ethical, values-based, and evidence-based principles.
