{"id":250,"date":"2024-01-16T19:04:03","date_gmt":"2024-01-16T19:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swpro.org\/amymejias\/?page_id=250"},"modified":"2024-07-27T21:15:12","modified_gmt":"2024-07-27T21:15:12","slug":"field-evidence-for-learning-behavior-2-1","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/swpro.org\/amymejias\/competencies\/competency-2-advance-human-rights-and-social-racial-economic-and-environmental-justice\/field-evidence-for-learning-behavior-2-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Field Evidence for Practice Behavior 2.1"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrate leadership in developing and implementing evidence-based practice with relevant strategies that advance human rights at the individual, family, group, organizational, community, research, and policy levels<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Chattanooga Housing Authority Resident Engagement team, I used my <strong>social work knowledge<\/strong> of <strong>policy<\/strong> and <strong>advocacy<\/strong> and developed a protocol for the Household Management Assessments that we will be implementing at all of the resident sites throughout next year.\u00a0 This protocol will advance human rights at the individual and family level and uses the <strong>social work values<\/strong> and <strong>social justice<\/strong> and <strong>respect for the dignity and worth of individuals<\/strong> by ensuring that they are in a safe and habitable living situation and will also <strong>empower<\/strong> and <strong>support<\/strong> them by providing them with resources should they need them.\u00a0 It will also advance human rights at an organizational, community, and policy level, because having these housing units up to par will assure that the Chattanooga Housing Authority will pass HUD inspections and can keep operating and housing low-income individuals and families.\u00a0 I used the <strong>cognitive processes<\/strong> of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>creating <\/b>and <strong style=\"font-weight: 400\">evaluating<\/strong> and the <strong style=\"font-weight: 400\">affective process<\/strong> of <b>valuing <\/b>in developing this protocol.
