Select evidence-based evaluation strategies according to their efficacy with specific client systems<\/span><\/h3>\n

During my advanced year practicum, I was involved in a project that evaluated the thoroughness of resident records. Using the social work knowledge<\/strong> and skills<\/strong> of policy knowledge<\/strong> and data analysis<\/strong>, I, as well as three other staff members, would evaluate these files which came from the housing sites management offices, using a form to ensure all of the components were in the file.\u00a0 We used the social work values<\/strong> of competency<\/strong> and integrity<\/strong> in making sure these records were accurate. There are several reasons that this evaluation is important. One main reason is for the sustainability of the organization should those files be audited by HUD, they need to be in passing order.\u00a0 As well as to evaluate the office staff at the sites to ensure that they are doing this aspect of their job properly, and also, because resident records need to be complete in order for the resident to be best attended to and managed. \u00a0 A couple of examples of this is that their current wages need to be up to date to ensure that they are paying the correct amount of rent. Another example is that we need a current emergency contact on file in case anything were to happen to the resident. These file reviews are important for many different systems. I used the cognitive processes<\/strong> of evaluating<\/strong> and analysis<\/strong> and the affective processes<\/strong> of responding <\/strong>and valuing<\/strong>. The theoretical framework<\/strong> taken was a collaborative approach<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
