This allowed us to <strong>explore and adapt<\/strong> the modalities to help students succeed academically (found on pages 15-20). The <strong>analysis<\/strong> of different modalities furthered my <strong>understanding<\/strong> from my <strong>clinical courses<\/strong> of how different modalities are needed to effectively treat people due to treatment needing to be tailored to the individual and their<strong> self-determination<\/strong>. This literature review allowed us to examine evidence-based best practices by applying <strong>self-determination theory<\/strong> to help understand how their <strong>internal or external locus<\/strong> affects them.
