Welcome to my Portfolio!
I am a Social Work graduate student with prior experience in providing guidance and emotional support for youth in an academic setting. I currently work as the Volunteer Coordinator for Signal Centers in Chattanooga Tennessee, where I manage volunteers, interns, and Foster Grandparents for all of our different programs. I create experiences for the individuals and groups I manage by developing our volunteer program through sustainable growth, thorough documentation, and positive experiences for all who are involved.
Mission Statement
I embody peace, servitude, understanding, and love in my interactions, using my life as a vessel to uplift those whom society often marginalizes as outcasts or contradictions. Regardless of differing values or backgrounds, I treat individuals with dignity and respect, transcending barriers of sex, ideologies, and social status.
Future Pursuits
Within one year, my aim is to reach the halfway point of my MSW program while achieving financial stability. I aspire to work full-time as a Social Worker in the field, concurrently serving as a Graduate Assistant at the School of Social Work, Southern Adventist University.
In five years, I intend to establish a timeline for initiating my Doctoral degree, focusing on crisis intervention within mental health. By then, I envision relocating to a different state to gain specialized experience in this field, which I aim to define more precisely. My goal is to engage in personal projects that will invigorate me and prevent burnout, such as community-based crisis intervention initiatives or research endeavors.
Looking ahead ten years, I envision commencing my Ph.D. journey while maintaining stability in my career to ensure financial independence. I am committed to sustaining long-term personal projects within the field, contributing to its advancement and my professional fulfillment.
