My experience as a foster care case manager motivated me to start the journey of achieving my Masters of Social Work degree. I have worked in foster care for the past five years and recognize that these children need competent, caring, and trauma-informed professionals to help relieve some of the adverse effects often experienced. I will complete the MSW program at Southern Adventist University in August 2021. I am thankful for the opportunity to advance my education and look forward to using the valuable knowledge I have learned from this program to better the lives of foster youth.
