In order to effectively engage with diverse clients, social workers have to use empathy, reflection, and interpersonal skills. Human relationships are one of the most important values that social workers stand by. In order to develop that human relationship, there has to be involvement which includes engaging with one another. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice Behaviors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Examine evidence-based practices to prepare for professional engagement across systems<\/li>\n<li>Engage with systems utilizing evidence-based practice strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6A Evidence: <\/strong><em>Examine evidence-based practices to prepare for professional engagement across systems<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Course:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0I had the opportunity to create a video that demonstrated my CBT skills. During this video I was able to practice including mood checking, the agenda, an update from our previous session, assigning homework, and more. After the video took my place my next assignment was to complete a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/bmray\/files\/2020\/08\/Marie-Ray-20min-Video-TranscriptCorrections.pdf\">CBT Self-Assessment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Field:<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>While at my internship, before every client, I went through the DSM-5 to have a better understand of certain diagnostics. This assignment required\u00a0me to conducted a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/bmray\/files\/2020\/08\/30min-Video.pdf\">30min. Video<\/a>and\u00a0demonstrate my group therapy technique skills that I have learned during class.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Field:<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>During my internship, when ever I had a new client I had to complete a <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/bmray\/files\/2020\/08\/Mental-Health-Eval.-1.pdf\">Mental Health Eval<\/a>. This form allowed me to become acquainted with my client and his or her background. get to know my client and their history.
