Social workers are aware that to achieve the client\u2019s goal, they have to be well-informed about <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the potential benefits, harms and costs of any intervention. With interventions, social workers tend to negotiate, mediate, and advocate with and on behalf of their clients. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice Behaviors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement clinical evidence-based interventions with individuals, families, and\/or groups<\/li>\n<li>Integrate macro level evidence-based strategies with organizations and\/or communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>8A Evidence: <\/strong><em>Implement clinical evidence-based interventions with individuals, families, and\/or groups<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Course:<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>During my last semester at Southern, I attended a clinical course that trained me how to facilitate a group session. At the end of this course, I was able to conduct a group therapy session and demonstrate my facilitator skills through our <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/bmray\/files\/2020\/08\/30-min-Video.pdf\">Zoom Session<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Field:<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>During my time at The Transition House, I met with each client twice a month. During one of my individual sessions, I was able to use Supportive Psychotherapy\u00a0(SP). Using SP allowed me to help my client maintain, restore, and possibly improve their self-esteem, ego functions, and adaptive skills. I was able to elaborate more in my February Monthly Journal on <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/bmray\/files\/2020\/08\/Monthly-Field-Journal-February.pdf\">Week 4<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8B Evidence:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Integrate macro level evidence-based strategies with organizations and\/or communities<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Course:<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>During my second semester, I was able to pair up with two other classmates and create a new organization. This organization&#8217;s purpose was focused on giving assistance to\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">children of all ages who are dealing with grief and equip them with the necessary tools needed to deal with the loss of a parent, sibling, or significant person(s) in their lives. During this process my group and I was able to conduct a <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/bmray\/files\/2020\/08\/Clouds-to-Rainbows.pdf\">research paper<\/a> that addressed the macro, micro, and mezzo interventions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Field:<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>Interning at The Transition House, I came to the realization that we do not accept certain insurance. However in order to benefit my clients we gave them a <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/bmray\/files\/2020\/08\/List-of-Insurance.pdf\">list of Insurances<\/a> that Erlanger Hospital and CHI Memorial accepts and they could go there to receive assistance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Description: Social workers understand that intervention is a key component in the process of the interaction with diverse individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
