Future Plans
Professional Goals:
1 Year Plan:
I am currently working towards obtaining my licensure in the State of Georgia to become a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW). I plan to obtain a job in the medical/mental health social work field at the master’s level.
5 Year Plan:
Within 5 years from my graduation date, I will complete the requirements to become licensed in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, and possibly Colorado. I will also achieve the qualifications to obtain my LCSW credentials. I plan to attend trainings for Natural Lifemanship and/or EAGALA models of equine-assisted therapy to receive certifications in those particular frameworks as well.
10 Year Plan:
I will continue my trainings and certifications and expand my knowledge in whatever areas are needed. I will also become more involved in my community and advocate for my clients as needed. I hope to provide services to clients with diverse demographics and a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral issues. I also hope to become involved with humanitarian organizations to assist with international community development and disaster relief efforts.
Self-Care Plan
My self-care plan includes a variety of activities that help keep me focused and from getting burnout. I love outdoor adventures and activities, and I will make an effort to enjoy an outdoor activity (such as kayaking, hiking, caving, snowboarding, horseback riding, scuba diving, camping, etc.) at least once per month. I will draw pictures as I am inspired and utilize mindfulness techniques that I teach my clients to help calm my anxiety. I will enjoy company with friends and family every other week. Lastly, I will be sure to set up boundaries at work and will try my best to keep my work separate from my home life.
