Service Activities

I served at the Salvation Army Street Store on January 20, 2020. It was a beautiful day of service with beautiful people.

“Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well- warmed, and well-fed.” -Herman Melville

I played the role of “counselor” during a mock disaster drill at Cleveland State Community College on April 13, 2017. This was an incredible learning experience as everyone who participated did an exceptional job with their respective roles and I was able to learn the most effective ways to respond to victims of a traumatic event.

I co-coordinated a sexual assault awareness event at my alma mater, Cleveland State Community College, on April 18, 2017. As a survivor of sexual assault, this is an issue I am very passionate about and as a social worker, I strive to continually advocate for survivors.

A news article and video from this very special event is available here

I participated in a Baby Free Store Event with the Social Work Club of Cleveland State Community College on December 2, 2017 in Cleveland, TN. This event provided free baby clothes, diapers,  and other essentials to mothers in need within the community.
