I will commit to improving practices with clients and systems by leading efforts to evaluate programs using quantitative and qualitative approaches effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 14pt\"><b>9.1 &#8211; Select evidence-based evaluation strategies according to their efficacy with specific client systems<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Course Evidence: <\/strong>For <strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SOCW 618, my group developed a <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #333399\"><a style=\"color: #333399;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/hannahborstad\/files\/2024\/11\/New-Organization-Proposal.pdf\">New Organization Proposal<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>which included a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Human Resources Plan <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(29-42). We researched evidence-based evaluation strategies for the human resources department of our proposed organization. We employed <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Social Exchange Theory<\/strong><\/span> to create a plan for maintaining employee engagement and commitment.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Field Evidence:\u00a0<\/strong>For my practicum, I led a Self-Care Group for the women in the YHDP program. For one group session, I used my <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><b>active-listening<\/b><\/span> skills to walk my client through creating an Eco-Map to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>evaluate<\/strong><\/span> her awareness of her social connections. The map revealed that she had forgotten how many people care about her.\u00a0 We used the information collected from the Eco-Map to discuss how her cognitive distortions surrounding relationships were impacting her ability to accept support from others. This revealed she had more positive relationships in her life than she realized and could reach out to weaker connections to inspire deeper friendship with them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-386\" src=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/hannahborstad\/files\/2024\/09\/5627307953160485253-e1727651597955-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"605\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/hannahborstad\/files\/2024\/09\/5627307953160485253-e1727651597955-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/swpro.org\/hannahborstad\/files\/2024\/09\/5627307953160485253-e1727651597955-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/swpro.org\/hannahborstad\/files\/2024\/09\/5627307953160485253-e1727651597955-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/swpro.org\/hannahborstad\/files\/2024\/09\/5627307953160485253-e1727651597955-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/swpro.org\/hannahborstad\/files\/2024\/09\/5627307953160485253-e1727651597955.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 605px) 100vw, 605px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 14pt\"><b>9.2 &#8211; Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of practice outcomes across systems<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Course Evidence:<\/strong> For SOCW 612 &#8211; Advanced Administrative Practice: Program Development, my team evaluated data measures for the programs Logic Model. The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000080;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/1drv.ms\/b\/s!AlTc5li2PZNYolTjbNUL8Z33u8w6?e=beoHL1\">SOCW 609 Comprehensive Policy and Advocacy Action Plan<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span> We used our social work knowledge of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>interprofessional collaboration<\/strong><\/span> to design this program with measurable outputs. We used our skills of <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">problem-solving and critical thinking<\/span><\/strong> to analyze our proposed program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Field Evidence:<\/strong> In my practicum, I <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>created<\/strong><\/span> a survey on Google Forms to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>evaluate<\/strong><\/span> the life skills of our clients. This survey is part of a complete policy revision that requires all new clients to participate in life skills trainings. Clients are required to take the survey at intake, after ninety days, and at discharge. The survey was instituted in February of 2024 and results were gathered as case managers visited clients. I <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>evaluated<\/strong><\/span> the results of the survey using formulas on Google Sheets. The results of the Life Skills Survey revealed that the clients had improved their life skills by 7.06% in the first several months.
