Here are some community service activities I participated in during my time in the BSW Program<\/p>\n

Poverty Simulation Volunteer: I volunteered to be a part of the Poverty Simulation. I was given the role of Banker and was able to participate in the set up of the event. Through this experience, I learned more about how poverty effects individuals so greatly at micro,mezzo, and macro levels.<\/p>\n

MLK Day Street Store Coordinator: I was given the opportunity to coordinate the MLK Street Store in 2018. With the help of the Social work club and many volunteers, we were able to out on a successful event for the community.<\/p>\n

Nursing Home Visitation: A group of students visited a nursing home where we visited with and passed out flowers to residents.<\/p>\n

Community Service Coordinator of the Social Work Club (2017-2018): While In this position I organized 3 community service events. I planned the MLK day Street Store, A Nursing home Trip, and a Chambliss Home trip.<\/p>\n
