Society is constantly presenting new or updated information on various topics. Therefore, social workers must consistently stay informed by exploring and conducting research on interventions, therapies, best practices, and polices. Practice informed and research informed practice helps address the population\u2019s needs or concerns by providing evidenced based literature. I will continue engaging in research to better provide treatment and services to individuals, families, and the community. I understand that by remaining current on research and applying the information, not only helps clients meet their needs and solutions, but also builds my knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n

4A – Engage in a review of contemporary best practices<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Field Evidence:<\/strong> In order to prepare for sessions with a client, I researched and reviewed best practices for teen depression, self-esteem, and anxiety. Research emphasizes when working with clients, providing psycho-education and coping skills on each concern is imperative. Therefore, I explained (Cognitive level: comprehension) client a visual CBT aid and explained the model. 4B – Conduct research that responds to social work practice needs<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Course Evidence:<\/strong> In my School Social Work Intermed class, I completed a research paper on the impact in the educational setting for students with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the role of a school social worker in providing treatment and services.
