As a social worker, I will apply policy practices on the micro, mezzo, and macro levels. I will adhere to the Code of Ethics and implement the policies that pertain to individuals and families. When leading a therapy group session, I will follow the standards and regulations. I will advocate for policy change that affects the population I serve. Furthermore, I will continue to educate myself on new or revisions of local, state, and federal policies.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-268 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/kmeneses\/files\/2020\/07\/policy-300x189.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"189\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/kmeneses\/files\/2020\/07\/policy-300x189.jpg 300w, https:\/\/swpro.org\/kmeneses\/files\/2020\/07\/policy.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><b>5A &#8211; Advocate with and inform stakeholders to impact policy change<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Field Evidence:<\/strong> I advocated with stakeholders on addressing the concern of behavior classroom challenges for primary Sabbath School teachers at Collegedale SDA Church. I created a survey for teachers to provide their experiences on issues within the classroom. With the survey, I created a workshop presentation on behavior modification for primary Sabbath School class teachers. Through the theory of operant conditioning, I provided interventions to apply in the classroom. To view the PowerPoint presentation, please click<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/kmeneses\/files\/2020\/07\/Sabbath-School-Primary-Classroom-Workshop.pdf\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><b>5B &#8211; Develop and implement a policy and\/or advocacy plan<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Course Evidence:<\/strong> In my Advanced Social Policy class, my classmates and I developed a policy proposal on revising the Child Abuse\/Neglect Intake Assessment Policy and Procedures Manual. The proposal recommends investigators to spend more time investing in reported cases of child abuse\/neglect before screening out. (Cognitive level: synthesis).
