Free Store Event at Salvation Army – MLK Day Southern Adventist University 2020
I was able to serve in my 1st year of undergrad by attending a free store in downtown Chattanooga. I set up and took down the items for “sale” so community members were able to locate the items they needed.
Student Mission Year – Familia Feliz, Rurrenabaque, Bolivia 2021
I spent my 3rd year of undergrad abroad as a houseparent and English teacher at an orphanage-style boarding school in Bolivia. While there, I managed a group home, caring for the kids’ physical and emotional needs; developed lesson plans and curriculum to teach English to grades K-12, and created letters, a social media presence, and increased donor involvement by initiating fundraising campaigns.
