I set up and took down the items for &#8220;sale&#8221; so community members were able to locate the items they needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student Mission Year\u00a0 <\/strong>&#8211; Familia Feliz, Rurrenabaque, Bolivia 2021<\/p>\n<p>I spent my 3rd year of undergrad abroad as a houseparent and English teacher at an orphanage-style boarding school in Bolivia. While there, I managed a group home, caring for the kids\u2019 physical and emotional needs; developed lesson plans and curriculum to teach English to grades K-12, and created letters, a social media presence, and increased donor involvement by initiating fundraising campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>Watch a video I was featured in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=408IZAsuoL4\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>High Point Chinese SDA Church\u00a0 <\/strong>&#8211; Chinese New Year Festival Jan 2022<\/p>\n<p>Ran a booth at the Chinese New Year festival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Audobon Acres\u00a0 <\/strong>&#8211; Cleaning Event, Aug 2022<\/p>\n<p>Helped move out Halloween decorations for a yard sale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Impact International\u00a0 <\/strong>&#8211; MLK Day Southern Adventist University 2023<\/p>\n<p>Created birthday cards for children in the sponsorship program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free Store Event at Salvation Army \u2013 MLK Day Southern Adventist University 2020 I was able to serve in my 1st year of undergrad by attending a free store in downtown Chattanooga.
