The dimensions of diversity are understood as the intersectionality of multiple factors including age, class, color, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, immigration status, political ideology, race, religion, sex, and sexual orientation. Optimize resiliency and capacities of diverse populations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Learning evidenced by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitating a 6-week anger management group for probationers and parolees\u00a0using <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/angermanagement_manual.pdf\">this curriculum<\/a> published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). I also monitored the effectiveness of said class using a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/Anger-Management-Assessment.pdf\">pre\/post assessment<\/a>\u00a0and a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/Anger-Management-Course-Evaluation.pdf\">course evaluation<\/a>\u00a0to determine the success of the class and to make improvements where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Creating a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Spanish-Survey-for-CLILA.pdf\">Survey<\/a> to assess a Hispanic community&#8217;s needs, compiled a <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/CILIA-Community-Assessment2.pdf\">CLILA- Community Assessment<\/a>\u00a0from the results,\u00a0\u00a0then crafted a\u00a0comprehensive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/The-\u2018No-Drama\u2019-Financial-Literacy-Project.pdf\">Financial Literacy<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0plan\u00a0to implement the project.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing the Financial Literacy Project in accordance with the community&#8217;s needs as found through<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Community-Financial-Literacy-Assessment-Interviews2.pdf\"> these<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Spanish-test.pdf\">surveys, <\/a>then\u00a0crafted a presentation and presented it to the community: <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/HOW-TO-PREPARE-A-FAMILY-BUDGET.pptx\">How to Prepare a Family\u00a0Budget (English)<\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Spanish-Budget.pptx\">How to Prepare a Family Budget (Spanish)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Being involved with the <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/PEER-SUPPORT-Class1.pdf\">peer support\/integral officer survival training<\/a> to teach officers not just how to survive, but how to live.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Engage diversity and difference in practice. \u201cSocial workers understand how diversity characterizes and shapes the human experience and is critical to the formation of identity.
