Synthesize and differentially employ theories of human behavior and the social environment to guide advanced practice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Learning evidenced by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Applying three separate theories of therapy with individuals or families to a realistic case scenario in my\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Micro-Theory-Paper.pdf\">Micro Theory Paper<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0analyzing\u00a0how theories and the very real issues of poverty interact on a larger scale with my\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Macro-Theory-Paper.pdf\">Macro Theory Paper<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Completing several major class demonstrating understanding of theories of human behavior and the social environment. \u00a0These projects included a Child Observation Assignment, my personal Social History, and a Social History of another person. Due to issues of confidentiality I have refrained from posting these products. Additionally, I completed assignments that had me investigate theories and research pertaining to work with various populations. In one such paper, seen <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/Death-and-Dying-1.pdf\">here<\/a>, I examined my views on my own mortality in preparation for working with dying clients or clients affected by death.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 13px\">At field practicum, I conducted <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/05\/Mental-Status-Exam-Form.pdf\">Mental Status Exams<\/a> along with <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/05\/BOPP-Simple-Screening-Tool.pdf\">Alcohol and Drug evaluations<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/05\/BP-0246-Biopsychosocial-Assessment.pdf\">Bio-psychosocial assessments<\/a> with new clients and determined how the alcohol and drug use of clients with mental health issues differed from those that do not face mental health challenges. \u00a0I also conducted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Relapse-Prevention-assessment-evaluation.pdf\">pre- and post-test measures<\/a> to determine outcomes and determine what treatment programs would best serve their needs to overcome their current obstacles.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment. \u201cSocial workers are knowledgeable about human behavior across the life course; the range of social systems in which people live; and the ways social systems promote or deter people in maintaining or achieving health and well-being.
