Advocate with and inform key stakeholders to optimize the impact of policy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Learning evidenced by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 12.9973726272583px\">With a cohort group, drafting a <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Policy-Brie1-11.pdf\">policy brief<\/a> and presenting it to our state senator in Nashville Tennessee.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Analyzing Tennessee Statute 38-8-106 which violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.\u00a0I discuss the problems with this policy and potential alternatives in the following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/Policy-Analysis-Concept-Brief.pdf\">Policy Brief<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Policy-Paper1.pdf\">Policy Paper<\/a>.\u00a0I have continued to advocate for individuals with mental disabilities by writing to local and state elected officials and petitioning to have state laws changed as it pertains to individuals with mental disabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with the local chapter of the NASW to help bring about social change and promote social justice in the city of Chattanooga as documented in <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/Journal24.pdf\">Journal 24<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with local politicians to engage in a review of policy that impacts city employees and the use of the Employee Assistance Plan as documented in <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/Journal14-.pdf\">Journal 14<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>b. Craft and implement a full systems policy\/advocacy action plan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Learning evidenced by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 12.9973726272583px\">Researched and advocated for needed policy changes in Tennessee Law dealing with individuals with mental disorder as seen\u00a0in <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Policy-Paper1.pdf\">this paper.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>With my cohort group, planning a financial literacy class for a low-income Hispanic population based on this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Work-Plan.pdf\">Work Plan<\/a>\u00a0and a <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/CILIA-Community-Assessment1.pdf\">community assessment.<\/a>\u00a0A <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2013\/04\/Group-6-Logic-Model.pdf\">logic frame<\/a> was then created to guide program development.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing said financial literacy class in collaboration with\u00a0The Coalition of Latino Leaders (CLILA) and <a href=\"https:\/\/swpro.org\/mike\/files\/2012\/07\/Stakeholders-Analysis1.pdf\">other key stakeholders<\/a>.
