Mission Statement:
As a social worker, my mission is to help lighten the struggles of those around me.
“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
~Charles Dickens
About Me:
I am a master’s social work graduate of Southern Adventist University with an emphasis in trauma and emergency management. I grew up in an American-Sudanese missionary family in five different countries. Growing up as a missionary and watching my parents work to better the lives of those in need, instilled in me a passion to help people. Social work became my calling once I discovered the core, fundamental beliefs of social workers to help improve the quality of people’s lives. I look forward to continuing to work with diverse groups of people and being able to help people become self-sufficient.
My Professional Goals:
- Become a Licensed Advanced Practitioner of Social Work (LAPSW)
- Assist in international disaster response and recovery efforts
- Work internationally with refugees
