Service Learning/Internship with American Red Cross Southeastern TN – February 2019 to Current

  • DRO816-19 Flooding Response – found community partners for shelter clients’ pets that were unable to stay in the Red Cross shelter (February 23, 2019)
  • Home Fire Campaign “Sound the Alarm” – installed roughly 100 smoke alarms in low-income neighborhoods of Chattanooga. (March 23, 2019)
  • DAT Responder – responded to a home fire and conducted an initial client assessment to be used for the emergency assistance of the client’s family. (April 1, 2019)

Southern Adventist University Disaster Relief (Hurricane Michael in Panama City, FL) – October 2018

  • Performed house to house wellness checks on roughly 200 residences checking for immediate needs and surveying damage.
  • Prepared over 20,000 meals over two days for first responders and those affected by hurricane Michael in Panama City, Florida with World Central Kitchen.
