About Me
Hi, welcome to my MSW Portfolio! My name is Andrea Viehmann, and I am based in Northern California! I graduated with my BSW from Southern in May of 2021. I am now pursuing my MSW degree, and expected to graduate December 2022. Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to gain experience in equine-assisted learning, maternal mental health, Telehealth counseling, and working with adults and children with disabilities. Some of my professional strengths and skills include staying organized and being task oriented, prioritizing personal and professional boundaries, public speaking, social media management and graphic creation. On the weekends and time away from work, my personal interests and hobbies include traveling, backpacking, gardening, cooking, and hosting dinner parties for my friends and family!
Mission Statement
My mission is to show love and compassion to victims, young and old, who have been mistreated. I seek to help clients find peace, transformation, and motivation to push through their challenges. My ultimate goal is to be the person, mentor, friend, and social worker that helps these individuals find their true worth and value, amidst their unique hardships.
Professional Goals
1. Become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
2. Gain experience working in a clinical setting
3. Create an online Mental Health and Wellness platform to educate and spread awareness
4. Advance my learning in: Holistic Medicine, Wellness, and Women’s/Perinatal Mental Health
5. Use my passion working with horses to develop my skills in equine-assisted therapy
6. Establish an organization that addresses a need in my local community
