My name is Annette Metz, and I am an Advanced Social Work student at Southern Adventist University. My interests include exercising indoors, hiking, and spending time with my dogs and family. My husband is a pastor, and our children are in high school and college.
I have always loved caring for others and felt I was being lead to a career in nursing, but I later discovered Social Work and fell in love with the caring aspect in this career, as well. I am excited to help people while utilizing the multitudinous means available to social workers to make a difference, including helping in tandem with healthcare professionals. My greatest joy in life is knowing that I was able to help someone. And that also translates into my life’s purpose—helping people!
