Intervene with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations and Communities
Another ongoing part of a Social Workers job is, to when given consent, intervene on behalf of clients we work with. We are to be knowledgeable about evidence-informed interventions in order to reach goals that have been set. Social Workers use collaboration to implement evidence informed interventions that they have come to know through their understanding of theories and environment.
Practice Behaviors
- Critically choose and implement interventions to achieve practice goals and enhance capacities of clients and constituencies.
- Analyzing knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, person-in-environment, and other multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks in the analysis of assessment data from clients and constituencies.
- Use inter-professional collaboration as appropriate to achieve beneficial practice outcomes.
- Negotiate, mediate, and advocate with and on behalf of diverse clients and constituencies.
- Facilitate effective transitions and endings that advance mutually agreed-on goals.
Academic Evidence:
Using Powerpoint I was able to create a Case Presentation which demonstrates how I used evidenced-based interventions for the pseudo-client that I interviewed. This presentation taught me a lot about how intervene with clients and know how to use evidence-based strategies and interventions with clients.
Practicum Evidence:
I was able to make a survey through survey monkey and send it to the case managers and supervisors. This survey asked about ACES .
I was also able to connect clients to resources and make referrals to different locations in which the help was needed, plan and referral.
I also had the opportunity to attend a Local Interagency Planning Team (LIPT) meeting. During this meeting we all came together and discussed what community resources could help each case and connected those clients with those resources.
