FUTURE PLANS

One Year Plan

Within the next year, it is my goal to work full-time as either a School Social Worker or in an agency or setting where I will work directly with children and youth. It is my plan to get my licensure as an LMSW, and to receive the appropriately credentials for being licensed in School Social Work. These things will be completely in the first three months following the completion of my program.

Five Year Plan

My five year plan with slightly depend on which course I take in the first few years as a licensed social worker. If I am active in a school setting, I would like to continue to gain competencies and education which will help me in that atmosphere. I would like to begin working on gaining an Educational Specialist Degree if I am working within a school system in the next few years. If I am working within a different agency or hospital setting, I would like to begin the process of seeking licensure as and LCSW. If this is the route I take, I would like to be a practicing LCSW in five years.

Ten Year Plan

In ten years, I would like to be further diving into a specialized section of social work. In these years, I will have a better understanding of where my passions specifically lie. At this point in time, I would like to approach a PhD. or law degree—depending on where my ten years of practice have called me to—so that I can further enhance my competencies and ambitiously engage in the world of social work.
