(8.1) Analyze, formulate and advocate for policies that advance social well-being.
Field: I completed a voter engagement project that analyzes current practices of long-term care facilities regarding voter and civic engagement and created a questionnaire that will inquire residents about their current and future practices.
Class: During the class Social Welfare in Policy (SOCW 434), my peers and I analyzed a policy through the creation of a policy brief and used our knowledge of the policy to advocate for that policy on our class trip to Washington D.C.
(8.2) Collaborate with colleagues and clients for effective policy action.
Field: During Social Work Day on the Hill, my peers and I were able to meet with other 
professionals advocating for policies that share similar values with the social work profession.
Class: Using the same policy as we did in the policy brief, my peers and I make a poster board to present at Campus Research Day.
