Professor Quick Start

SWPRO can be used for student portfolios and for course/topic websites. Professors guide the educational use of these sites. The office manager handles technical setup and support.

Professor Role

Professors are responsible for:

  • Introducing portfolio expectations
  • Explaining required pages and assignments
  • Guiding students on content, artifacts, and reflection
  • Using the rubric or evaluation form when required
  • Reviewing portfolios for content and professional presentation
  • Supporting students before graduation, especially through advising

Professors do not create portfolio sites, reset passwords, manage WordPress settings, or troubleshoot technical problems.

Technical Help

Students should first use the online tutorial resources.

If they still need help, they should contact the School of Social Work office manager for issues such as login problems, forgotten passwords, access problems, upload issues, broken links, menus, or pages not displaying correctly.

Content questions should go to the professor or advisor.

Course or Topic Websites

Professors may also request SWPRO websites for specific courses, topics, or projects. The professor provides the site title and purpose. The office manager creates the site, gives the professor administrator access, and usually password protects the website.

The professor is responsible for the instructional content of the site.
