Competencies

What are Competencies?

Competencies are the values and knowledge that social workers attain and practice throughout their time in the field. We were tasked with demonstrating these nine competencies through our school coursework, internships/opportunities in field, and through opportunities outside of school (referred to as “evidences” throughout the portfolio)

For each competency, I have copied the Council of Social Work Education definition and practice behaviors, as well as my own personal written explanation of the competency. I have my evidence of each competency and my written explanation of the evidence (divided by school, field, and other). To see the evidence, push each title (it is linked to a PDF).
