In alignment with core social work values such as the importance of human relationships, service, and the dignity and worth of the person, I began volunteering with the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachia in 2017 through the 2019 school year at Lakeside Academy. As a Girls Program Mentor, I supported troop leaders while fostering collaborative and empowering relationships with troop members and their families. This role allowed me to promote positive youth development, community engagement, and inclusive participation, reflecting my commitment to service and social responsibility.
