Throughout my time at Southern Adventist University, I have had the opportunity to earn the following awards and certificates.
As senior in the social work program, I was recognized for academic excellence and research.
I was awarded for being the top achiever in my class during my sophomore and junior year in the social work program.
At the end of my junior year, I was inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society.
I presented two different literature reviews that I had completed on Campus Research Days.
I completed a training that equipped me with knowledge and hands-on practice for efficiently responding to emergency situations and disasters in communities.
During my freshmen year, I completed a course that trained me to work with churches in the community by leading out in 38 in-home Bible studies and connecting with 72 people interested in church services by going door to door. Throughout this program, I developed stronger skills in active listening, empathy, and time management.
