Introduction: As a social worker, I strive to apply critical thinking skills to assess issues affecting my clients, whether they are individuals, families, organizations, or within the community. After assessing their unique needs, I use research to select the most appropriate intervention for clients. I also assess my community and workplace using needs assessments to ensure we respond to our client’s needs in the most anti-oppressive, culturally relevant way.
