During Policy class, a group of cohorts and I designed an advocacy plan to amend SB 7006 to conduct needs assessments for state-funded inpatient psychiatric hospitals throughout Tennessee instead of just conducting a needs assessment in Knoxville, Tennessee. Conducting needs assessments throughout Tennessee allows uninsured individuals with mental health issues to receive timely inpatient care and be treated with dignity and worth.
